Hengistbury Head Beach and Groyne

Post by mrix » Sat Jul 28, 2018 11:11 am

Hi all, as the weather has been so very nice I decided to take a trip with my New spinning setup to Hengistbury Head beach and groyne ::g
I have fished the area countless times over the years and its normally around the end of August on wards that Mackerel / garfish start to arrive but as the seas are warming and I had not been for the past few years I thought it would be interesting to see if any of these species had arrived a little earlier than normal ?
Well just to confirm they have not :( =))
Spoke to a fair few other fisherman who also never had much joy, just the usual Wrasse that are in large numbers around the groyne.
If anyone else decides to take a trip to this venue in the coming weeks please post an update ::g
Thanks all
mrix
