Try the devon angling website, it has local marks on it.

not sure whats around im hoping to get down there myself at the end of feb but there is slapton sands about 7 miles towards dartmouth i heard bowcome creek isnt doing to bad at the moment with flatties schoolie bass and the odd eel thats just 2-3 mins out of kingsbridge town center but my first port of call would be the devon angling center and have a chat to mark or his dad hope some of this helps mate p.s. the start bay inn does some of the freshest seafood you can get

Not sure about down that way been wanting to try around east portlemouth but be warned the devon country lanes down there are longer than you think and pretty much single track the whole way. May be best to stick to slapton area Hallsands/beesands or Start piont. Posts suggest slapton has been trawled recently so Slapton itself might not be a great bet. I agree with fishmad have a word with devon angling centre you'll probably be popping in there for bait anyway and if anybody is going to know wheres fishing well they will.

Hi, Kingsbridge Estuary has been producing the fine Flounder at the moment. A competition last weekend produced many fish in the 3lb - 3 1/2 lb.
The further down the estuary the better.
