Old Hall Sat 22nd Oct

Post by CoolCaster » Sun Oct 23, 2011 4:21 am

3 of us fished Old Hall yesterday (3 up 2 down). We knew it was a southerly wind and wasn't going to be very pleasant. We had 8 Whiting and 1 Rockling between us (i had 2 of the Whiting).

Fished better after high water with 5 of the 8 Whiting caught about an hour on the down.

Still loads of crabs about but all in all not a bad session.

i love old hall but i will never fish there again as the walk across the fields is a painfull walk for me last time i was there i did not think i was going to get back but it does fish better on a south wind as it brings the fish in

It wasn't too bad on Saturday Roy because it was dry. Still doesn't make the river any closer, just a bit easier on the legs.

If a minority hadn't been nicking diesel from the farmer X( (not necessarily anglers by the way) it would be much more accessible
