Anchor size

hi guys can anyone give me a rougth idea for a anchor size/type for my 14ft open boot for the portsmouth harbour area cheers mick

by rule of tumb its 1 kilo to every 5 foot of boat but remember the chain conected to the anchor wants to be at least the lenght of the boat as the chain works to hold the anchor fast as sand builds up on it and you will need at least 2 anchors on board one to cover sand and one to cover rough/rocky ground

so you should have
2 anchors
2 chains
2 warps / anchor ropes
the ropes need to be 3 times the depth you are fishing in, so if you are in 50ft of water the rope wants to be 150 feet

only trip a rock anchor if theres a possability of it being lost you shouldnt need to trip a sand anchor
