nice boat
Nice boat mate you should have some fun with her
I was expecting that tomcat, but surprise surprise not a single person...
Got one planned for Friday 8th.Jan.2010, the tides are perfect for a 12 hour trip.
Going out from Bradwell Marina between 6am/7am returning at 7.30pm/8pm
Only taking 5 + myself, got 3 so far, so only room for 2 more, first come basis....
Weather permitting of course...

boat register?
hi how do i register my boat please
After some very serious thought, I have decided to change my mooring from Maldon to Thorpe Bay or Shoeburyness, whichever comes up first.
It is just too deep with mud at Maldon to easily get out at low tide to do running repairs etc. and I am not used to the area, whereas I have had a few boats at Westcliffe, Thorpe Bay & Shoeburyness, and never had a problem getting to the boat at anytime...
Thought I was a dead man when I tried to get to it at low tide, thank goodness I was pushing the tender with the tools etc in, when I suddenly sank up to my waist I bent over the tender to stop me sinking right down, and slowly, very slowly, managed to get one leg out at a time, which took about 45 minutes to do...I was truly scared...and that done it for me....
If I want to fish around that area then I will sail round there...it's safer!

Have now put the mooring in at Westcliff, did it last Monday.
Plans to bring her round from Maldon on Friday and have a trip on Saturday have had to be cancelled, the weather is against doing this safely at the moment, especially as I have to be alone bringing her round, all mates are working.
I will be looking at some time next week with midday tides, hopefully the weather cheers up a bit...

So far everything is a go for Sunday 24th.January to bring her round to Southend. Managed to get her from Maldon to Brightlingsea last week, so now I have no restrictions with tides...
Whilst there I decided to hammer the Credit Card and totally re-equip her with all New Instruments - Marine Radio/GPS/Fish Finder/Depth Finder/Plotter/Tracker/C-Chart Card...Top of Cabin Roof looks like satellite city..lol
Also got a new alternator being delivered tomorrow as the other turned out to be knackered when I put it in for a service....
Got my Marine Radio Licence through as well..
Have had Thames Coastguard check her over and they have given her a clean sheet for seaworthiness....very thorough these guys...lol...one of them even said he would like to come with us for the trip from Brightlingsea to Southend providing it coincides with his shifts....
Can't wait to use the Tracker/Plotter...must be careful not to get too involved otherwise I might end up getting the Autopilot system...lol
Once in Southend, she is going to get a lot of use thats for sure!!
My offer still stands for those that fancy a days fishing....once I am there I shall give my mobile number out and details of when I will be there etc...
