first time at the saltings

Post by stillsy » Wed Jun 04, 2014 5:47 pm

having had a manic week had promised myself a days fishing before the school holiday ended. So accompanied by my brother-in-law and armed with freshly dug lug, herring & squid we set off to the saltings at South Fambridge. Fished from 3 hours before high tide to an hour after. Two other groups on teh sea wal with us. That meant 9 rods in total in the water.

Total catch was to one of the other parties - 1 school bass, 1 bootlace & 1 pin whiting

found it to be a great venue to fish from though shame the fish didn't agree. will have to try again, maybe with different tactics
