fishing in southend

Post by eathook » Mon Sep 10, 2012 8:05 pm

Hey everyone, i was just wondering what the fishing is like on southend pier at the moment particularly for bass if there is any? if so how are people catching? using lures of worms? weights or floats?

Also is the fishing better on the beaches rather than the pier and if so what beach?

thank you!

High tides between 20:00-00:00 on the beach using Lugworm, plenty of keepers. Earlier or later doesnt pay off IMO.

Most fruitful place is the East beach Garrison area in my experience this year. Caught 4 tiddlers a couple of nights ago.... with plenty of missed bites!

Also loads of Mullet coming within a couple of foot of the shore!!! pesky mullet!

Good luck
