Daphne Carole 8-4-12

Post by fishingnuts95 » Sun Apr 08, 2012 8:51 pm

Been a while since I have posted on here but just haven't got out due to the weather! Finally got out today as we had booked up John rawle's 'daphne Carole' for the day however due him being in florida phil white (skipper of chinook 2) took us out!

Left the marina at around 9:30 and was fishing by 11. On my first cast (I was using two rods) I had a skate of around 4lb followed on the other by a 5 1/2lb cod! I had another 2 skate with a whiting a few doggies to finish the day as we headed in around 4:30. Altogether between 7 of us there were around 18 skate (females returned!) and about 10 cod with doggies and whiting thrown in as well!

Weather wasn't the best as rain was on and off during the day however nothing to heavy. Would recommend phil to anyone, a great skipper who definitely knows he stuff! He has spaces throughout the coming months if you fancy a day out with him!

If you want to check out his website it is www.philwhitecharters.co.uk or phone him on 07786 080771.

Thanks,
James

The cod was taken on unwashed squid, same as the skate! Is a nice size however I have donated it to my dad as i am allergic to fish :( sounds funny being a keen fisherman but have to deal with it!
