Southend Beaches

Post by stillsy »

with good tides coming up & hopefully no snow I thought I might drown a few worms over the Easter period.

Has anyone any information about how Southend beaches are fishing at the moment

Southend pier with Nr 3 Son

Post by MickMull »

Don't know about the beaches, but fished the pier 3rd shelter the other day.

Well they said cloudy horrible rain, >:( but was Harry flatters & the sun was splitting the rocks. ::) Decided to take Niall (Nr 3) for a bit of flatty bashing on Southend pier. Fished the ebb with some shop bought lug & rag. :'( :'(
The lad done well with a small dab followed later on by a nice founder which he says are his favorite fish ??? ??? (my cooking abilities know no bounds) 8-)
Nice afternoon on the pier & both came back with red necks. 8-) 8-)

Cheers for the replies Macer & Mick,

My boys love flounder too - think it's got more to do with they're the only keepers we catch round here than my cooking ability

rain stoppped play over easter, will post a report if we get out this week
