I was thinking of hiring a canoe and paddling up the river from Purfleet

But joking aside
We will all have to wait on the skippers and Kopite for confirmation the event is on.

Normally this is done on the night before

We will all have to evaluate the situation then.
The Main roads and motorway around the tunnel are being well gritted at present so all baing well the A13 will be drivable with care.

its gonna be bleedin freezin out on them boats
so i am off to decathlon to get myself a balaclava, ski gloves and whatever else they can sell me to keep warm.
i know my floaty suit will keep me toasty but its the bits that aint inside it that worries me.
the roads should be fine, been driving on them since the snow came...hardest bit is getting off my drive and my little road.
my old beemer's heater might be broken ( shiver, shiver ) but the important bits work...abs, traction control.......so its great fun on icy roads :D :D :D

see you all saturday morning

before we decend into anarchy!!! lol

the trip is still three days away which is a very long time in british weather.... all we only need a couple of degree temp lift a bit of drizzle and hey presto...if the roads are passable with care and the winds are low....WE WILL BE FISHING! as for cabbus and a canoe...who asked him to stick his oar in!!!

Well said Steve,

as I am busy tomorrow I have been to Two Tree Island today, the route is ok

and unless we have a very big snow fall by Saturday I would think it should

be fine, (Basildon to A13 into Leigh to The Island).

See you all there,

Tim B-)
