Hi Guys,
well, 2 of us started fishing at Scars Elbow 2.5 hrs B4 high water, 2nd cast I had a very small Bass, (2 hook fixed paternoster clipped down 1.0 blued Aberdeens std rigs) on top snood with nice fat lug worm baits.

Nothing after that until high water, then we had a couple more small bass each all on the top hooks, then between 1.5hrs and 2.5hrs after high water we had a few more small bass all on the top hooks using lug, 2 of which went to 9inch and quite a nice fish.

also had 1 really good bite sunk the hook and could feel it was a very good fish, unfortunately I hit a snag 5yrd out on retrieve and lost the bugger lol.

1 had 6 mate had 3 total 9 small bass also pulled out a few crabs, which is promising, all in all a good few hours and looking better than it has at this venue for months.

Tight Lines,
Tim.

Ps:- good luck for Saturday night Col, let me know how it goes.

Oh, just wanted to add that this was a daytime fish so night I would expect to be a lot more productive,

Popped up to Scars elbow myself on Friday, had one small codling just before high tide, barely a pound in weight, aswell as a good drenching ......... better than blanking though i guess, as with all that rain it would have taken the peesh catching nothing.
Went again yesterday for an hour either side of the tide but caught squat. Had a real rattler of a bite, but got snagged up and lost the lot :((
Might have a go off the pier at southend on thursday, not sure yet unless anyone can recommend somewhere else, but local to canvey ???
