Yes, I saw the programme. Goes to show that pollution is pervasive. I did a quick search to see if the CSO sites are listed anywhere. Found a map of the NW sites but nothing for the rest of the country. Areas to avoid after heavy rain.

Heres another depressing video to watch, cockle beds in Burry inlet Wales that are almost completely wiped out due to pollution. Polluted water holds very little oxygen, plus the water is slightly warmer due to global warming which means it holds even less oxygen its no suprise that the fish stay away.
