Although a couple of lads had got in our favourite place before us, we settled on an area that used to be out of bounds, facing the docking area that the ferries used. There was a load of weed on the incoming tide 9.7m., but it soon went past us up river so all we had to contend with was the tidle drag.
High water produced loads of flatties, we had 17 between the 4 of us but the lads further up caught more than 30. Weather was chilly at first but we ended up fishing in brilliant sunshine.
