Heysham Wall, first attempt tommorow night !

Post by BigP »

Hello all.Just joined the forum and totally new to sea fishing managed to purchase some gear so going to give it a go tommorow night at Heysham harbour wall.
Has anyone fished here recently, and any tips ;;)

Took a run up there earlier tonight to have a quick look, but dissapointed to see line and other assorted remnants of someones fishing exploits strewn at various points :( .

Cheers Big P #:-S

The best rig for the time being would more than likely be a 3hook flapper using 2/0 long shanked abberdeens and lug as bait. Cheers

There,s only dabs and small flounder at the moment, I,d use size 1 or 2 long shanked aberdeens and rag and macky as bait. Make sure you have a good disgorger as they are beggars for deep hooking themselves :-O . The current winds might bring in the whiting if we,re lucky. :D
