Well couldn,t face crowds of p*****d idiots or c**p TV so decided to clear all the old bait out of the freezer and see if any fish wanted to play.
Got there for 10pm and the tide was already on the way out nicely. I was the only angler on the beach.
I used a 3 hook clipped rig with size 1 hooks and a mix of baits. Nothing showed until just after the fireworks kicked off at midnight when I got some rattles, followed by a couple of big knocks then a massive slack liner.....yay... coddy ............not !!.... 2 envelope sized dabs..... A**e.
Rest of night nothing, except wet feet wading back across the 2nd gulley after the tide turned so packed up at 3.30am.
Not my best result there on a low water sess but at least I,ve started the year without blanking

Well done Mike on getting out and avoiding the dreaded blank as most have experienced lately.
