Although I do not take a deposit for any trips booked anyone failing to turn up after booking will be responsible for the full amount unless they are able to get someone to take their place as I am liable for the full cost of the charter

Look on the bright side Keith. September on our coast is a very unproductive month from the boats. It's the transisional period from our summer species to our winter species. On a reasonable sized tide, (8.5m to 9.5m) the Fylde coast should be at a peak for producing Codling from the boats during November. Uptide with BIG lugworm baits being the killing method.

3/0 or 4/0 good quality medium wire hooks are perfect. Trace length of about 4' works well. Short enough to cast, long enough to move enticingly and short enough to anchor the bait to the sea bed.
