Fleetwood, 13th December. Taker codling.

Post by strathy »

I managed to escape from the cows and fished the night tide at the cadet base.
Used salted lug and salted rag tipped with squid.
Whiting were swarming from the off till high at about 60yds out but nothing doing on the long range rig.
Went quiet at high for about half an hour then the long range rig got a bite...... yayy codling , I had seven in about an hour then it all switched off.
My best night for years, too many whiting too count and 7 codling and 2 were takers. Weighed them when I got home and they were 2lb 7oz and 2lb 11oz filleted.
