Jury's Gap 19/11/13

Post by mercury1058 » Tue Nov 19, 2013 4:10 pm

Fished Jury's Gap 10.30 am to 2.00 pm. Slow start with just a couple of Dabs but picked up after high tide (11.30) with 10 Whiting (3 or 4 were of keeping size but went back) and a reasonable Dogfish.

Used squid and mackerel at about 100ms range. The sun was shining but there was plenty of colour in the water; a reasonable breeze was blowing off shore. I intended to fish Dengemarsh but when I got there there were diggers, bulldozers, lorries etc. up and down the beach so just turned round.

Anyone any idea how long they will be destroying the fishing at Dengemarsh? The same thing happened a couple of winters ago as well.

Jury's Gap is at the far end of Lydd Ranges - the end nearer to Rye - and it literally where the range fencing stops. You will see some cottages there and a range hut. There is also a small works yard with a parking area in front of it. Parking is free.

Where is RRD by the way?

Regards

Andrew

Rochester riverside development mate.
you can park in gas house lane and its a short walk to the river along the footpath. nice easy snag free fishing, and hardly no development yet!
