Walmer 5 Nov

Post by mercury1058 » Wed Nov 06, 2013 7:11 am

Fished Walmer beach 10.30 to 14.00. There was a fair swell on and a lot of colour in the water; I used squid and Mackerel. I caught on almost every cast with a tally of 6 small dogfish and 20 plus Whiting of which about 4 were of keepable size. All went back though.

It's the biggest tally I have had in months and renewed my confidence and enthusiasm. Lets hope it stays this way and how about more reports from others here - I find them interesting and useful for deciding where to fish!

hi mate. good old walmer never fails to show results. one of my favourite venues. I hope to get down there soon again.
I fished the medway at Rochester last weekend and we had 15 good size whiting , so they are slowly moving further up the river. the whiting have been a lot later this year cause of the mild weather.

I have to say, after what can only be called a dire summer, I count any fish a success. There are times this summer when I began to question whether it was worth carrying on!
