Hi all . I hope you had a good Christmas and a happy New Year .
This year i want to catch a specimen bass and was hoping for some input on venues . I'm not an overly social animal so preferably somewhere away from the madding crowds !!!! I was thinking of early sessions over Thanet Chalk ledges but have never fished there before . How did it fish last year ?
Help !! :D :D

Try coombe point near allhallows mate.
Their not specimens as such but we had several last year to 4lb down there.
Out in the middle of nowhere too

Hi dabhand . I caught one of a couple pounds a few years ago on a small sandy cove to the right of the caravan park . Is that Coombe Point ?

Hi mate, coombe point is to the left of the holiday park.
If you drive down shakespeare farm rd about a mile before the vilage, you can only drive so far then its a 15 min walk.
Fish on the first point on the seawall rather than the sandy bay. Its deeper water. lug is best here. you catch decent flounders in the spring as well. I normally start fishing down there in feb for the first big flounders. I like it here cause its in the middle of nowhere and i can have a cracking bonfire lol
