Just signed up so thought i would introduce myself, name is tony a northener who moved to pompey in 1974 to join navy and stayed, have freshwater fished for years but been a carp man for last 5, decided to give sea angling a go, so wife has bought me a starter kit for birthday and looking forward for my first time next week, will mostly be fishing hayling as i work there, after reading some posts i can look for things that would help me catch
1, moon cycles
2, tides
3, wind
however for me to get out fishing i need three more important things
1, am i at work
2, have all grandkids gone home
3, are there enough soaps on tv to keep wife happy
then i can go, i will be asking lots of questions so will apologise in advance, hope to get to know you all and maybe meet some on the beach

Welcome to the the forums m8, you will find there will be no shortage of help and your questions will benefit others. Also would be good to see you on the shingle. You have choosen the right time of year to start sea fishing and if your like most freshwater anglers (me included) its not hard to get the salt water bug. :D :D

Tight lines DAZ B-)
