Well, what can i say other than what a fantastic days fishing at my favourite venue. i can honestly say in 25 years fishing at this mark i have never caught so many bass, particularly as they were all in the 1 and half to 3 lb weight.
totally shocked is an understatement.
using just fresh blow lug on a one up one down rig with a 5.9 m tide and slight breezy offshore wind i started with a 3 pounder on the first cast in just a foot of water followed by 3 more in succession. 4 fish, first 4 casts. unbelievable.
In total had 12 bass, a new record for me here.
also took 2 decent flounders and on the last cast a decent eel.
15 fish for this place is unheard of.
i can only assume i got the conditions just right and was in the right place at the right time.
