fished st marys . high water at 3. a nice 6.4 tide
didnt stop raining all afternoon and windy but it coloured the water up nicely
used 2 day old blow lug that was half dead but worked nicely
an hour and half before high water had a nice 3 pound bass taken at distance, my biggest here for a couple years.
it then went dead until an hour after high water and all hell broke loose.
first to come out was a small schoolie of half pound followed quickly by a decent flounder, then another bass of 1 and half pound pound, then another decent flounder touching the lb mark.
and lastly a good familiar rattle and no mistaking.....a silver eel of about a lb.
my best day here for quite a few months. just typical i didnt take me camera. i even forgot a bloody rag. so had to use newspaper to handle the eel!
a most exellent afternoon at my most fave venue

Cheers

Hi Gary,
Good to know you had a good session and nice varierty.
Will have to go down Walmer or Deal with you soon - but getting over an operation at the moment so out of action for a few more weeks.
Was over Grain doing some security work at the powerstation the other day - would love to fish off some of the jetty's there but no public access :-(
