Catch Report

Post by Ilurvmatthayes »

Hadn't been fishing for over a month so took the day off work and drove the long drive to a new venue for me called St Osyth in Essex.

Weather was blustery with a stronger than forecast South Westerly wind not ideal for long distance casting. Used rag and lug as bait. Fished an hour up and two hours down.

First hour was very quiet then almost at the top of the tide I had a 32 cm sole accompnaied by a whiting- after that it was mainly whiting- all were sizeable with a couple of decent ones of 33cm and 35 cm. Also caught a 33cm schoolie bass.

All fish caught at distance- approx 150-160 yds out.

All in all a very good session- bracing - cleared some of the cobwebs away
