I decided to start my Cod season early this year down in Deal.
Would have posted this earlier but had problems with my configuring my camera to my phone.
Caught an early Cod on 17th September.
9ib 8oz
Hopefully a sign of things to come!!

Hi Jolliroger,
To answer your question, no I have never used Razorfish or clams down there.
The only time I would use them is if the weather was very rough and they were to get washed up on the beach. Although I have never witnessed that at Deal.
I think the best bait at Deal is yellowtail lug. If you can get hold of them!! Failing that Dungie Black.

Hi Jeffro, could you give me some info on your Deal charity open as i'm off that weekend and wouldn't mind giving it a go,our meets are quite light hearted affairs with a lot of freindly banter and mickey taking and not many fish.
