estuary rays

went out with bigdigger and a few other lads for boat session off the kent coast... 1st mark was slow but as usual the skipper found the fish.... a few whiting were still showing, plenty of dogs were landed many large females carrying pup... i landed 3 rays an 4 dogs... had a 4lb 10oz ray beating my previous boat record of 2lb 8oz... the other 2 were smaller.. bigdigger and the skipper each landed a quality size ray over 11lb.. 17 rays in total were caught... great day, great weather and great company, only grumble to be had was the amount of nets out there, some cutting off fish from the beach, this should be outlawed in an estuary....

Gday yoose guys. Yeh mate a good day was had by all & all of us had Rays. Another downside was the fact that i remortgaged my house to get some Devon peeler crab & the rays wanted BLUEY ! Cmon the next trip RAYS & SMUTS .
