Just wanted to introduce myself to the forum. Hopefully looking to learn a few things or two!!!
I am thinking of buying a bait pump, but just need to understand where is the nearest place to be able tot use it. I live in ramsgate but am willing to travel to use it. Any Suggestions??
They only really work in soft sand and mud near the water's edge at low tide. You would be better off buying a strong stainless fork in my opinion with nice long tines.
hi captain hook .. you can try sandwich bay .. if you dont mind travling you could all so try winchelsea near hastings ..i have one an tried it got 20 but saw some one using one an he had 150 ... hope this helps you out an good luck trev ... ps sorry about spelling
Hi welcome to forum. look forward to your reports. I'm lazy and prefer to dig in my local bait fridge but Lugs dug anywhere from seasalter to Herne bay is popular. closer to seasalter the better the pickings but its a little far out for you. sorry cant offer more help
Thanks for the info. Baitman, I work in dartford and have heard that they call southend on sea "southend on mud" so to speak. I have heard that bait digging and pumping is good?? Also what is the fishing like in southend on sea?? Can you fish from the pier??
hi yer you can fish the pier. you have to pay i think its about 4pound for the day only fished it once .but lots off people do fish it an catch ... as for digging you will need a fork as pump wont work ... diggings not too bad lol .. hope this helps
