after one of the best cod fishing seasons ive known in years,i want a good time chasing thornies,anything showing?ive heard the males should be showing soon,and a few have been caught, so any info would help,

Give it a couple of weeks and they should start to show.

I have not been out for over a month now. Waiting for the time to go for the thornies.

I would suggest a calm day or night. From what I have experienced fishing for rays they do not come in if the weather is rough. Ideal situation being;

no more than a 15mph wind and not freezing cold.

I will be heading to the Isle of Sheppey towards the end of March.
