Fishing Warden Bay - Thornbacks x2

Post by jeffro »

Hi everyone,

Fished Warden Bay early hours this morning and at around 6:30, just as the tide was turning, I had my first Thornback Ray of the year.

The female was lovely, weighingi n dead on 9ibs and to top it all off, just as I was putting her back, my other other rod was banging away. This time a smaller male of 5ibs 3oz.

I was chuffed, two rays in the space of 10 minutes.

I took some photo's on my Blackberry. Once I have download them to my laptop I will post them for all to see. :D :D :D

Hi Thornie Bashers!

Please click on link to see pictures.

I am not so sure if I got the weight correct with the female. My scales are crap.

Some of my mates think she could be a double figure but I'm not so sure!

Let me know what you think! She is the first, second and forth picture. The third is the smaller male.

Cheers,

Jeffro
