Garfish and Wrasse S.E

alryt people from south east wondering if there iz any1 out there that haz anytips on rigz and bait for catching garfish and wrasse in the south east area im from cheriton next to folkestone i hear samphire hoe iz a good spot ?

when fishing for garfish i normally use this kind of method on my local pier.
im sure u can adapted it to whatever place you fish. I see you live in the same town as me to.

a strip of macky normally does the trick for garfish, and no i dont do any puddle dipping.

I sometimes use a sliding trace off the beach, just clip it on the line and let it slide, good for Bass.

if its just cliped on and sliding along the main line, how can you strike? does the bass hook itself?

No the fish nine times out of ten will hook themselfs.

absolutly brilliant rig!
I caught several garfish who hooked them selves and a 1lb wrasse on the bottom and was well chuffed

Looks a great idea for a rig.

What stops the float rig from sliding down the main rig and tangling up?

Does a large 8mm bead at the shock leader swivel stop the snap link sufficiently or do you use something else?

Just asking as it looks like a good way to improve your chances and wouldn't mind giving it a go in the future.
