ERITH PIER

HI ALL, i fished erith pier with a mate on thursday afternoon ( 4 pm high tide ) had 4 good bites but all missed. hooked into a loverly shopping trolley and ended up losing my rig when it got away , my mate had a couple of half hearted bites but missed them as well. we were both using wishbone rigs with rag and squid , the weather was very blustery but the rain mostly passed us by , fished from 2pm till 7pm so we did give it a good go.

Will be fishing in between thamesmead and erith tomorrow on a old pier.

thats the old police landing stage not the one by morrisons which i think is erith pier i might be wrong

nice little fish , at least it proves to me there are fish in that area .
the pier at morrisons is the new erith pier and looking to the north bank on the left there is a wooden jetty about 50 / 75 yards upstream but i dont know wether this is the old pier or not , as i have got arthritis in both knees the new pier is just right for me , have you tried deal down on the coast thats one of my fav's , always catch something there even if its small pouting. havent been down in the`summer due to the rebuilding of the cafe and toilets on the end of the pier but i think the should be nearly finished and then i might give it a go again , it has been open for fishing but i think it has been a bit restricted . anyway keep those lines tight and good luck in the

Havent tried erith pier yet. Might get on me bike and go down there for the day.

Havent tried deal either, think my next coast trip is gonna be dungeness.
