hi evryone, i caught my first fish today in herne bay, just a little macky but who cares, the only thing i had trouble with was taken the hook out, it took me a while but i used sum long nosed pliers. i know you can buy those tools to get them out. are they any good

Many of us use stainless forceps but make sure the "handles" are not too long and are thick enough not to bend when you put some pressure on them. Unfortunately there is an awful lot of rubbish in tackle shops these days. There are also specially designed stainless pliers which are good but quite expensive and T-bar disgorgers, the latter requiring a bit of practice to get them doing the job.

its allways the biggest thrill catching your first fish. mine was a small sole :) well done mate
