Hythe, easy parking, fishing as good or bad as anywhere else, and it's where I caught my biggest beach fish two years ago, a 20lb Cod.
The different varieties iv'e caught are as follows,
Cod, Whiting, Pouting,Dab, Flounder, Brill, Sole, Lesser Spotted Dogfish, Greater Spotted Dogfish, Mackerel, Bass, Silver Eel.
A very long seafront all the way to Sandgate with free parking , not many places like that.
Beaches are steep sloping shingle, and clean ground with not many snags.
Oh, and welcome!

Welcome,
If your just up for a bit of a bash and your in Newhaven or around there, the car park/breakwater at the end of fort road is great. Can get busy but get there early and book ye place.

I also like East Pier at Newhaven as you fish the estuary and the beach depending on what side you go.

Hope this helps :s

I've always fishing south e. coast, its great to hear where people enjoy to fish. but for some reason, no matter where i enjoy brighton marina, if one species isnt biting, change tactics and find out which one is! haha

For me, it has to be Erith Pier on the Thames:
I can get there by bus, there are comfy benches and a big supermarket where you can buy scotch eggs.

No actual fish, mark you, but its a nice place to chill out of a Saturday afternoon, if the wind is not blowing from Crossness.

I cycled past Crossness on the Thames Path, while scouting marks.
I thought I was going to die.
