fluff chucking for flounder

Post by nthendpompey » Sat Dec 07, 2013 6:19 pm

now the traditional swffing is over.what about the flounder, very aggressive fish and around in the winter time.small clousers and weighted shrimp patterns bounced along the bottom .hardest species to catch on the fly,or any rod.

Why not use the tradition methods for flounder (baited hook) lug or mussel? If they are that difficult to catch in your area why make things more difficult for yourself?
It's Ronnie O'Sullivan going into the ring with one arm tied behind his back.
The majority of the fish caught up here in the NW are flounder and whiting

Perhaps Mick likes a challenge? Harbour rag is the bait down south tipped with peelers or white rag ;). Full credit to you if you do catch a flounder on the fly ;)

I was always taught that flounders suck in their bait so not to reel in on getting a bite- best to let the bite develop and allow the fish time to suck the bait in. Might prove a big challenge with the method being proposed but good luck and let us know how you get on.
