mullet round 2

Post by nthendpompey » Sun Sep 02, 2012 4:27 pm

arrived at our chosen mark at 6am to be greeted with a brisk westerly wind.lw @6.30am.we didnt fancy our chances much for the mullet ,but gave it ago.with the wind behind us we waded out and started casting towards shore.2hrs of fishing around all the shingle bars proved us right ,no takers.waited for the tide to start flooding the area then bingo fish .between three of us ,we had half a dozen hook ups resulting in two landed mullet, biggest going 4 3/4lbs.i failed to land my only hook up after it threw the fly.still waiting for mullet number two.bit difficult in the conditions, wind and low water visabilty.

may get a evening session this week.

mick.
