Hello, I live in Bognor and at the moment trying different fishing techniques, just wondering if anyone knows of anywhere local to Bognor I can catch sand eel and how I'd go about it!
Thanks in advance

sandeel
get yourself a landing net and wade along any sandy beaches near you where you regularily see sandeel. ive no technique for this except to wait for them to swim near you and swipe. you can look on youtube for videos of using large drag nets with two ppl, but this might be a bit extreme for personal bait supply.

As Keith said, fish from piers etc, use a Sabiki, as also stated by Geoff, fish 3 to 5 feet from the wall, and just let your weight hit bottom, lift it up and down 2 ft or so about twice a second, Sandeels swim in shoals up and down, when you catch it goes quiet after a short time, you just keep on till the shoal comes back, or another appears. its popular at bridlington, but be careful, my brother and another guy caught 90 weever fish in one hour using these. if your unfamiliar with weever, look in general stickies for info. Know the lesser weever fish. Cheers
