Lack of catch reports
Lack of catch reports
Come on Lads and ladies seems to be very few catch reports at the moment. Surley somebody is catch something, not me though, I blanked all weekend at Beesands and Blackpool.
I know some people don't want to give away their 'secret' mark or info on wheres fishing well but even so I enjoy reading about that great session or misreable day saved by one suprise fish. For a constant blanker like me it lets me know theres whats about and gives me the encouragement to get out there and try again.

Ok well in that case Steve here is something to read!!!
Went spinning today for two hours after a promising few hours yesterday. I had some nice sized bass follow my lure in but they didnt take it.
Fished a low tide to see if much was happening. Another angler had been there for a hour or so but hadn't caught anything. Had a chat to him and he had bought a load of gear off ebay and this was his first time fishing. Gave him a few pointers and he had a few wrasse which he was happy with
It was overcast and the sea was extrely flat like the day before. I was thinking here comes my first Bass. Didn't happen. Will keep trying though
Tomorrow's morning tide and weather looks perfect but unfourtunatly i can't get out!! Always the way??
Might try get out thursday morning or evening havn't checked the weather or tides mind you!!
Tight lines

OK here ya go mate:
Last Friday night session using lugworm on 2/0 Aberdeens produced no less than 8 bass but all of them too small. Got fed up with giving dinner to small bass around midnight and went home doh!
Monday morning went bream hunting in a known spot with mackerel strip on size 2 baitholder hooks. First bream took within 10 minutes of first cast but too small. Two more came in the next hour, also too small. Finally got one big enough for me dinner plate about half an hour later - around 1lb. Shortly afterwards the tide got going quickly followed by the dreaded weed so gave up and home with my single trophy.
