Bexington report

Post by beaver » Tue Dec 15, 2009 11:32 am

Hi
Went to chesil beach three times last week. Tuesday night blowing a gale and lashing with rain fished from 4 pm till 10pm. Black lug and squid bait. One rod pennel rig 4/0 hooks. Two dogfish and a couple small channels.Went again thursday sea looked perfect good colour and nice surf.8 dogfish a couple of large pout and 6 channels.Sunday afternoon fished 2pm till 7pm. Sea flat and clear. Small two hook rigs and rag tipped with squid. Beach was well busy. Had a few half decent channels and a couple of dogfish. Tides were crap i know but have heard of some nice cod coming out over the last month or so. One of my mates had his first ever cod 10ilb at bex two weeks ago and several cod were caught that night.Looking forward to a good blow up agian when tides are better will have another bash then and let you know how it goes.
Regards steve

The old hampshire fishermen always called `em channel-whiting and pout-whiting, don`t know how far east or west of hants/dorset they call `em channels.
