hi all im hopeing 2 get down 2 the chesil on fri nite 2 try 4 a couple of cod can any1 tell me if it worth a try or should i just go 2 the pub 4 a few :D thanks paul

force 6 or 7 winds from now until the weekend...waves already above storm threshold and likely to increase.........

you would be insane to even walk onto the beach... let alone fish it.

you could head to Minehead, Blue Anchor or Watchet....and have the wind behind you..... and catch dogfish and tiny whiting

well i think ill give it a miss then and maybe try minehead way then thank you for your help and info

we fished Blue Anchor wall on Tues.... quite a few dogfish, a lot of undersized whiting, a rockling and a pout....plenty of fish but nothing large.
It's not all bad news... the cod, bass and conger come inshore looking for the little whiting. It is always worth livebaiting a small fish anywhere along this bit of coast.
we were using mackerel, garfish, squid and lugworm, all baits seemed to be equally effective.
