Weather this weekend

Post by PlymouthTaff » Fri Nov 13, 2009 1:04 pm

Good afternoon

Just after a bit of advice for this weekend. Given the forecast do you think it would be worth a trip to a beach - Beesands/Slapton/Seaton perhaps, or will it be too rough to fish?

I've looked at www.fishingwx.com and it shows it as being very rough with wind up to 30 mph SWesterly?

Dont want a wasted journey

As always any help would be most appreciated

Cheers

Taff

If i was in your shoes mate, i'd give it a miss. having just seen BBC forecast at 1.30pm. Forecast heavy rain and 60 to 70 mph winds.

Hi Taff, went to Beesands last year with 30mph SW winds. 15ft waves were crashing on the beach, casting impossible and a waste of petrol. Wife enjoyed the look on my face as I ran from a wave that bhad my name on it.

I would personally take the advice given and leave it alone this weekend.

Have already cancelled my conger hunting exped for the weekend.

Sunday 15th - Beesands

Post by PlymouthTaff » Mon Nov 16, 2009 11:33 am

Well I finally managed to get out Sunday afternoon and paid a visit to Beesands, weather was good with a bit of swell and the winds were fine.

Fished from 1pm up to HT and then an hour or so afterwards.

Cracking session with plenty of Whiting, Pollack, Doggies and even a schoolie bass.

Really enjoyable and nice to be able to get out after the horrendous weather of Friday and Saturday.

Until next time....

Taff
