Fished West Bexington last night from 6.30 pm to 10 pm. It was a beautiful, cold, starlit night to begin with - hardly any wind. Irrespective of the fishing it was a joy to be there with shooting stars for entertainment.
I fished two rods both with calamari and in the first two hours coming up to high water it was a bite a cast - with lots of whiting, doggies and pout. It clouded over at about 9 pm and the bites slowed - perhaps with the turn of the tide. Still it was a great evening and I bought back four pan sized whiting for today's dinner.
You can't beat it - peace, the sea and fish!
