Good days fishing Mid September (2 miles out Between Trearddur and South Stack lighthouse). Fresh Macky accounted for 3 Tope over 40 lb and half a dozen double figure Huss to three rods all within the first half an hour of the flood tide and plenty of severed hook lengths - forgot to tackle up with wire traces. Beware of strong tides when fishing this arrear and don't bother if wind blowing anything but off-shore, get's well choppy. If unable to get out on this side of Holy Island (Holyhead) then launch down Newry Beach Sailing Club or the Marina if allowed, if you get collared blame me Robert Maxwell and I will take responsibility. There should be big Tope, Huss and Conger, guaranteed Whiting, Pollack and Pout and just maybe a Codling off Langdon Ridge - Situated approximately half way between the Breakwater and the Skerries Lighthouse. Tough going on the gear but the fish are there, commercial fishermen don't go near it - Stong Tide's and 20 Metre pinnacles.

Good Luck
