Had a look at the suggested marks in the Wales forum but it appears that no one ventures much past St Davids. Have just purchased a boat and will be using it out of Gwbert in Ceredigion. Any one have any suggestions about that part of the Welsh coast? Any info on shore marks would be greatly appreciated also.

Hiya, sorry for late reply.

There are numerous spots from shore past st davids, we just donmt like sharing them!!!

Boat wise & Gwbert, great place to launch from, however be advised that the eastury is a bass nursery and there is NO Boat fishing for Bass intentionally or otherwise from a line drawn due south from the lighthouse at the mouth, to the other side.

Apart from that, it depends what fish you are into, as to where you go. Up Aberystwth was 2 years ago, there were Sharks cruising 500 meters off shore, and a few caught aswell.

Thanks for the reply Jim, better late than never!

I'll have a shot at anything that has fins and swims (apart from the resident dolphins obviously!! :D ) Will keep quiet about the sharks though as the kids'll never go in the water again!!
