fishing report mad night

me and my brother and 2 mates went fishing down by Porthcawl all cast out all rods went check my rod i was reel in fast because pull in the water next minture a 12ft wave nearlly took me in the sea i didn't see it everybody said hes gone i said no i am not im here everybody said how hell you still alive

the rigs and bait we was using rag worm mackerel and 2 flappers and 1 puley no fish at all by 10:00 pack up and went home

You are lucky. Good habit is to look seaward when close to the waters edge when reeling in. Any fast ferry down your end? I know the Stena HSS creates a power swell. When it first arrived in service it once washed up a packed beach taking everyone by surprise. Freak waves happen mate, so beware.
