I use a Petzl headlamp for baiting up & reeling in etc, its a good lamp which is not too bright, comfortable to wear and does the job. My Petzl is about 10 years old & has recently been fitted / converted with the Petzl battery holder fitting which now allows it to run on 3xAA batteries, as the old square batteries with the flat terminals on top are now hard to source.

For lighting up my brolly space I have a 14 year old Coleman Powerhouse 295, which is still going strong. Since new its only had one replacement globe fitted & gone through 8 mantles :-O ... These lamps are built to last!!

After giving up on my not so old MFA 3in1 says its the dogs doodars but it aint headlamp, I'm now in the market for a new one.
I know alot of people like the speleo and they come highly recommended but I came accross this one which looks ideal and at a good price compared the the speleo and mfa's etc.

check it out and if anyone owns one already I'd appreciate your views.

there is a light chart for the various functions which you can play around with, (nice idea, and a colour chart to which allows you to select the differrent colours, the black and grey looks rather nice.

P.S anyone thinking of buying an MFA led 3 in 1 forget it they are crap.

I had a Tiga, but I didn't like the heavy battery ( I know they have lighter ones now) and I have a major problem with wires running down my back.

My Speleo goes straight on my head and has lasted years.

When a 7 watt Speleo appears on the market (I live in hope) I will buy one of those and make my 5 watter into a tripod light.
