Just want a bit of input about the best hooks for live baiting I use treble's does anyone else have a different veiw?

You dont need trebles for live bait. Use a 3/0 to 5/0 hook and lip hook the pout/whiting or joey mackeral. As its a live bait you will be only flinging it a few yards, especially for bass in the right months ;)

Treble hooks are for lures only mate, or for pike fishing in fresh water.
Even when using them on lures I flatten the barbs and cut a hook off and turn it into a double hook, trebles are a bit nasty/overkill imo

Just pick a normal hook, what size depends on the bait size but you don't need to go huge, use a 1/0 with a small mackerel
