Hi Eccles, that is why I explained I kept them in a large plastic box, never had an issue with them as long as they are not kept over 48 hours, its also very cold so it likely slows down their metabolism. At the end of the day if you were concerned you simply only need to puncture a few holes in the tray / box.
For me personally they always ended up very much alive and kicking ::g

I’ve never had much luck keeping them alive for more that 24hrs in the fridge. I usually have them in a traditional coarse fishing bait box.
