Hi,

I seem to remember, over 50 years ago, as a young coarse fisherman, putting maggots into my mouth to warm them up! But then I think I really was a very horrible little boy, I hope I have improved - and the idea of lugwarms is too too gross!!

Please don't tell my wife about this - or I will never get another kiss again.

Cheers, Geoff :D :D :D

Hi Bryan1a, thanks,

I don't mind the idea of putting squid in my mouth too much - it costs a fortune in our local restaurant disguised as 'calamari'!!

Cheers, Geoff :D :D :D

i find handling frozen squid easier than defrosted, once on the hook and in the sea it soon thaws.

as for eating it,no worries,it is the same stuff as you would get in a restaurant, except they have cleaned theirs up,skinned gutted etc.

many a time ive cooked some squid on my tilley, yum yum

all the best

Andy

if its very cold i put a small hot water bottle into my cool bag and it works a treat. just make sure the water isnt very hot, because the water is only warm it cools much quicker i use a thermos flask to reheat the bottle every hour or so.

Don't go much on the idea of keeping ANY bait in one's mouth UGGGGGGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!..........................BUT how about keeping it down your underpants (very warm area) whilst wearing a tight one piece Flotation suit , always found this to work ..........JOLI :D

i got my one from the wifes bedside locker so dont tell her :D

have a look in pound shops and places like that, their about half the size of a normal hot water bottle. a full sized one would work just as well but would need double the water when refilling it.

Im sure someone will correct me if im rong but would an old flask be a sollution to the problem, when your worms/bait is defrosted pop it in the flask and take it out as and when needed during the session.
