bait

hi all just wondering if anyone could help as new to this.any particular baits to avoid will fish the humber regularly between humberstone creek and immingham tried rag tipped with squid but not much look so far also the best way to bait up cheers for the help tony

I find that lug on sandy or muddy or clean beaches tends to outfish rag. Mussel is a killer bait for flatties and tends to be overlooked by the majority of sea anglers

Lugworms, Razors, prawns and peeler crabs are all worth using in this area. Ragworms will catch flatties and the odd school bass but not much else. Yellowtail and prawns cocktailed tend to find bigger fish when they are about. Being close to the river, it would definitely pay you to learn which areas to fish in different conditions.
