salting lug

hello lads and ladies is it possible to salt down the common lugworm?

No mate, their skins are too delicate, a tip given to me by George Smith is to freeze them in clingfilm like a small sausage then attach to the hooks with bait elastic and pierce it with a bait needle a couple of times just before casting out.
Only flatties seem to be attracted to these though, so if your afer Cod or Bass, then stick to more traditional baits.

i liked the salting pictures,very clear and concise,i shall be salting and freezing lug this weekend,before they go up in price this way.top tip me thinks

have now tried this method and am totally chuffed with the results,got a tub of lovely salted lugworm :x :x :x :x
